Description:

As a business owner, you have two options when determining pricing for your goods and services: Do you simply make up a price and hope for the best? Or, do you beat your competition through a well thought out and calculated pricing strategy?

Coming up with the correct price for your product or service is not always as easy and cut-and-dried as you may think. Market conditions, production and marketing costs, monitoring your competitors…these are all things that must be taken into consideration before you can accurately price your product or service.

This session will educate the audience on several different types of pricing strategies that are tested and true, and will also teach methods of cost control to ensure that your price is bringing the most profit possible.

Oh yes, and here’s a hint to answer the question above: Making up a price and hoping for the best is NOT a sound business plan!

Attendees will leave knowing:

  • How to calculate the planned profit point of their product or service
  • Different pricing strategies for various stages of their business (start-up vs. 1 year in business vs. well established)
  • Why it is so critical to research market conditions for their industry
  • How a well defined marketing and sales strategy affects pricing their product or service
