The North Texas SBDC Network proudly announces Robin Lasher, Navarro SBDC Director, as the 2009 State Star of the North Texas SBDC. Robin Lasher, director of the Navarro College Small Business Development Center, has been chosen to receive the 2009 North Texas SBDC Network State Star Award. She was selected, along with 63 fellow “Stars” out of more than 1,000 centers nationwide. Lasher has been an employee with the North Texas SBDC Network since 1999, serving in the capacity of counselor for the Tarrant SBDC, and now director of the Navarro College SBDC since 2007.

Robin’s stellar leadership and program management has bolstered the quality of services the center provides, elevating the status of the Navarro College SBDC , and increase awareness with community and technical education at Navarro College. Robin set in motion a plan of action that included education, research, and outreach in an effort to position the SBDC to support the area’s community-level economic development initiatives, thereby distinguishing Navarro SBDC, located on the main campus in Corsicana - as the entrepreneurial “hub” in Navarro and surrounding counties.

Robin brings service excellence, quality, teamwork, inclusion, collaboration, commitment, integrity, stewardship and inclusion thus providing a long-term effect on the lives of clients and stakeholders to the North Texas SBDC Network.
